Serve PR & Bar La Penùltima

We checked in on our friends as San Juan bar, La Penùltima immediately following Hurricane Maria. Thankfully they  were safe with minimal damage and a generator and quickly transformed their space into a community center for friends and family in need.

Serve PR was created immediately in order to raise funds to put employees of small restaurants and bars back to work and help them financially with lost tip wages that FEMA won’t cover. They also plan to help the small farmers to replant their crops because their  food and drinks wouldn’t be the same without the small but growing agriculture scene on the island.

A DIRECT, LONG-TERM SOLUTION. This is an on-the-ground effort in its entirety, with the goal of rebuilding a stronger more sustainable industry for Puerto Rico.

If you can’t make it Wednesday you can still send much-needed assistance here for ServePR & UNIDOS.
