When indecision becomes a delicious dilemma.

In this complex video wine review I found myself in a “Border State” of mind when when my home state team  Sporting KC faced my home team, NYCFC.

The beauty of it all is that sometimes you don’t have to choose. Artful wine blending is a way to experience another facet of individual grape varieties, which, like people sometimes need the company to truly blossom.

This wine, Bosman Erfenis (2011 vintage) comes from South Africa. It’s composition is as varied as its terroir, culturally, climatically, and geologically. Pinotage, Shiraz, Cinsault, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot have come into their own after 6 years of aging, yet there is a verve and brightness and even a spicy quality that lifts and balances this burly red blend.
